2010 Learning Experience

This is the story of my first experience with a broken limb. As a kid I always envied those kids who got out of school with broken arms and legs, but it wasn't nearly as much fun as I thought it would be.

CTPS (Central Texas Pastel Society) Competition Aug.14th, 2010

I was more than a little exited about taking 3rd place in this competition. CTPS membership includes some of the very best pastel artists, locally and nationally. The show was judged by Mark Haworth (Insight Gallery, Frederickburg, TX) and it definitely put a lift in my step - along with some nice goodies in my studio.

Just finished Lee County Peanut Factory

Toni and I met for coffee in Giddings Texas on a rainy day and took a walk down mainstreet. The Peanut Factory looked abandoned, so we went inside. I was intrigued by the way the light played against all those amazing shadows, and I think I am going to do a series of paintings on this building alone ....
